ECO is the place for you if you are wishing to stay in environmentally neutral accommodation in the Southern Highlands, only 3km from Yerrinbool railway station and 12km from Mittagong railway station.

ECO, built from recycled materials, is a story book style cottage, providing complete privacy in it’s own bushland setting away from the other accommodation at Little Forest.

The loft style bedroom has a double bed positioned to view the natural bushland through French doors opening onto a large verandah. There is also a single day bed providing permanent sleeping facilities for 3 guests.

The lounge room adjoins the fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, full size fridge and microwave. The spacious bathroom looks out to the wrap around veranda with BBQ and undercover outdoor setting. A genuine 1950’s caravan is parked next door giving you the feeling you have stepped back in time away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Take a stroll along our bush circuit and visit the old stone dam that was used to power the steam engines of the 20th Century. Bring the picnic basket provided and enjoy the native bush setting anywhere along Hambridge Trail to Porters Pass across Crookes Crossing back to the main lake and Gazebo. Imagine you are retracing the steps of Governor Macquarie in 1820.

Keep an eye out for kangaroos, wombats, and many native birds, including the Bower Bird. Visit the Billabong just near ECO where tadpoles can be spotted with hundreds of frogs. Mossy Glen is nestled on the other side of the cottage where you can relax and absorb the beautiful surroundings.

ECO is the perfect setting to start that book or prop your easel to be inspired.

Note: ECO is in close proximity to the railway line and you can hear and see them travel past the property.
